On March 10, 2026, Bay View Lodge 109 hosted the Degree of Brotherly Love for two candidates: Margaret and Mike Brandl, both members of Bay View Lodge 109.
The degree team consisted of Odd Fellows who’ve performed in a number of times throughout previous years, including Debra LaVergne as Noble Grand and Past Grand, Steve Koehler as Vice Grand, Mason Wolf as Conductor, Jane Beckman as Warden, and Katy Dickinson as Chaplain. Other members included Reed Sutton, Mariko Kawaguchi, Gerry Williams and Steven Koury.
The degree team put on a good conferral and a moving and heartful evening that conveyed humanity and kindness with thoughtful music (“Let it Be”) and scenery. Each brother and sister in the degree team cast member brought out a quietly powerful performance. We hope the candidates continue in their journey through Odd Fellowship, and that they enjoyed the degree experience they received.
