The next Dickens Fair and Victorian Holiday Party is nearly upon us. This year, Sunday November 22nd is the date that Odd Fellows from throughout the Bay Area will be descending on the fair to eat, drink, sing, dance, shop, and make all kinds of good merry fun together in the spirit of Christmas. Early bird tickets are on sale until October 15th, so if you plan to join anyway, now is the best time to purchase Dickens Fair Tickets.
If you’ve never attended, Dickens Fair is a recreation of Victorian London around Christmas time, as portrayed in the literature of Dickens and some of his contemporaries. They feature a wide-ranging cast of characters from his books, as well as figures from actual history, and you can interact with them while exploring the “streets”, replete with shops, pubs, and amusements. They have incredibly talented performers putting on free shows, and it’s a great opportunity to dress up to match the scenery. We’ll have collars available for Odd Fellows to wear during the event, so we can recognize one another, and we’ll try to get at least one group photo with all of us together.
