On Wednesday, September 23rd, True Fellowship Lodge #52 raised two of its own members to the third degree, or degree of Truth. Brothers Ben Holden and Erik Woodburry both learned the mysteries and symbols, completing their progression in the three basic degrees of Odd Fellowship.
We had a full cast, including Mason Wolf as Noble Grand, Scott Spence as Vice Grand, Zandria Elbert as Past Grand, Jane Beckman as Chaplain, Andrew Crockett as Warden, Kat Powell as Conductor, Megan O’Neil as RSNG, Lisa Harrigan as LSNG, Terrance Seddon as RSVG, and Sara Bruce as LSVG. Everyone was on time, and Debbie Shuler, though she couldn’t stay for the degree, supplied dinner for everyone beforehand.
Since the people receiving the degree were from the lodge itself, they also received their True Fellowship custom bolo ties, which every member of that lodge receives upon attaining their third degree.
It was a good degree, and two of the members of the degree team, Lisa and Sara, went on to hold those same roles at the degree day in Vallejo just 3 days later.
